Aloha Mixed Plate: Review

Our second day in Maui we woke up on board the cruise to a gloomy day in Kahului. We grabbed a coffee on board our cruise and then set off across the island in our Jeep. As it always the case in the Hawaiian islands the weather changed before our eyes and by the time we hit Lahaina we had a very nice day on our hands. I had a hit list of three or so food places in Lahaina and Aloha Mixed Plate was the first one we spotted so we parked and headed in.

Aloha Mixed Plate has an awesome vibe. The big outdoor patio took our breath away as we were seated overlook the ocean. We were there for breakfast but we were also on vacation so the first thing we did was order mimosas. I ordered the Kalua Pig Hash and Eggs which I would defnitely recommend, they were delicious and Todd ordered the Big Kahuna Omelet which I can only assume was good based on the speed at which he inhaled it!

After we ate the gloomy weather made another appearance so instead of the swim we had planned we did a little shopping in Whaler’s Village, checked out the Old Lahaina Courthouse (pics to come in the next post) and headed back to the ship for our afternoon departure heading for the Big Island.¬†We had a really great day in Lahaina, we’ll add it to the long list of places we want to go back to!
