My Wedding

It’s been one whole year! Well, yesterday it had been a whole year. Can you believe it? I just had to share a post on my wedding day, I never ended up publishing the pictures when we were married one year ago on Sunday.

The Designer and I married on 21 September 2013 in Whale Beach. We lucked out with the weather, although we had no genuinely outside event plans it made for some pretty magical memory shots.

All credit for these incredible photographs goes to super photographer Leah Kua who we trusted to make our memories last and who delivered on every possible count.

Our amazing venue is Moby Dicks Whale Beach. I fell in love the first time we walked through the door and am still under the spell. Speak to Suzie if you’re interested, she’ll sort you out (and she’ll answer all manner of questions, I know this for a fact.) We held our ceremony at Whale Beach SLSC. My dress is from White Runway, jewellery from Samantha Wills and Kat & Bee and my bridesmaids’ dresses are from Henkaa with necklaces from Ashloc Designs and the boys are wearing matching ties and pocket square from Henkaa. Our beautiful flowers were crafted by Anemone Flowers. Tunes strummed by Simon + Aniella. The Designer did all our stationary himself, and he made our cute I Do We Did sign too, from an old fence. The boys suits are from Spurling and that super gorgeous BM badge is from this Etsy seller. Hair and makeup is by Kristy Orr. Our lovely celebrant (and sometime guidance counselor through the whole process) is Claire Belford. And that lippy? The trustiest of them all, MAC Russian Red.

Every shot above was taken by Leah Kua, photographer extraordinaire and woman to whom I must be forever indebted to for making these sweet memories permanent.

I was not gifted any of the above and we paid for our entire wedding but I include these links for anyone who is interested as wedding planning can be difficult and we experienced extremely good fortune with all of our vendors, so I can recommend them all unreservedly. And yes… I did buy my wedding dress online. It fitted like a dream and I am so happy I took the risk!

Happy Anniversary to my gorgeous husband. We spent yesterday doing housework and drinking champagne and today we’re heading off to a quiet lunch.
