Hello world…

I love that cheeky way WordPress kicks off your first post for you. This is far from my first post in blogging but it is my first post as The Armchair Crossing. This is a new little venture that I am so excited to undertake, you see my blog had begun to flounder. It floundered because I am busy, because I am tired and because I could not think of things to write about in my personal blog.

If you want my professional opinion I’d say I just don’t think I was prepared to give enough of the private me.

So I thought about it. I love blogging, so what am I prepared to give enough of? The answer unfolded in front of me clear as mud, as if it had always been. When I wrote this post, I realised 2013 has really, really passed in the blink of an eye. That I am thinking back to the year that was and I am thinking about things that took place in 2012, not 2013. It was a big year and it was a good year but there were a lot of little things to get caught up in so there’s my aim (not a resolution, I don’t do resolutions) for 2014 – don’t sweat the small stuff.

Welcome to The Armchair Crossing, a place for adventures both near and far. I’ll be writing about my actual adventures, the adventures I undertake from my armchair and probably a good sprinkling of champagne and lipstick in there too, just to keep it exciting. Thanks for joining me, let’s raise a toast and start planning our next trip!
